Information we collect
When you call, email, make a payment or use the website enquiry form, Sidetrade may receive information such as your name, business name, phone number, email address, vehicle details, location, preferred date and the message or job details you provide.
How we use it
Information is used to respond to enquiries, assess and arrange work, communicate about bookings, provide services, take or reconcile payments, maintain business records and meet legal or operational requirements.
Customer portal
Customer portal access is invite-only. An invited customer creates a password and can see only the customer records, vehicles and service documents linked to their account. Customers can update their contact person, phone number and address. Sidetrade staff control which service sheets and reports are published to the portal. Staff accounts have broader access needed to administer customers and jobs.
Website and service providers
The website is hosted by Netlify. Website enquiry and customer portal information is transmitted to Sidetrade's configured database and authentication service. If you choose online payment, payment processing is handled through Square under its own privacy and security terms. Sidetrade does not ask you to enter card details directly into the website enquiry form.
Sharing
Sidetrade may share information with service providers where reasonably needed to operate the website, process payments, communicate with you or deliver and administer the requested work. Information is not sold as a marketing list.
Storage and security
Reasonable steps are taken to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Customer documents are stored privately and access is checked against the signed-in account. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information may be retained for as long as reasonably required for the purpose it was collected, business records and applicable legal obligations.
Your choices and questions
You can ask about personal information Sidetrade holds about you, request a correction, or raise a privacy concern by emailing admin@sidetrade.net.au or calling 0431 140 670. Some records may need to be retained where required for business or legal purposes.
External services
Links or payment pages operated by other organisations are governed by those organisations' own notices. Review their information before providing personal or payment details.

This notice may be updated when the website or business processes change. The current version will be published on this page.
